AML & KYC POLICY

NEXA Cards is committed to the highest standards of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance. These policies are designed to prevent and mitigate possible risks of NEXA Cards being used to facilitate money laundering or terrorist financing.

1. Customer Identification Program (CIP)

All users must complete identity verification before accessing our card services. This includes submission of government-issued identification, proof of address, and a real-time photo verification. We reserve the right to request additional documentation at any time.

2. Ongoing Monitoring

NEXA Cards will continuously monitor customer transactions to detect and report suspicious activity. Automated systems and manual reviews ensure the legitimacy of all transactions.

3. Sanctions Screening

We screen all clients against global watchlists including OFAC, UN, EU, and others to ensure we do not provide services to sanctioned individuals or entities.

4. Risk Assessment

Each client is assigned a risk profile based on their location, transaction behavior, and other relevant factors. Higher-risk profiles are subject to enhanced due diligence.

5. Record Keeping

We retain all documents, data, and communications for a minimum of five years, in compliance with applicable financial regulations.

6. Reporting Obligations

NEXA Cards complies with all legal requirements and will report suspicious activity to relevant financial intelligence units (FIUs) as mandated by law.

7. Employee Training

All staff undergo routine AML/KYC training to ensure understanding and compliance with global best practices and emerging threats.

8. Third-Party Verification

Where applicable, NEXA Cards may rely on third-party KYC providers or data processors, all of which are vetted for compliance and security standards.

9. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for providing accurate information and notifying us of any changes. Misrepresentation or fraudulent documentation will result in account suspension or termination.

10. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to amend this AML & KYC Policy at any time. Updates will be published on this page and take immediate effect upon posting.
